Editorial Standards
Texas Foundation Repair is an information resource for Texas homeowners. This page says who writes the content, what it is based on, and how it is checked.
What This Site Is
Texas Foundation Repair publishes Foundation Repair information. It is not the company that performs the work, and it does not currently connect homeowners with contractors. See the Disclosure page.
Who Writes and Reviews It
The content is written by the site operator. It has not been reviewed by a licensed contractor or a licensed engineer, and no named individual or credential is attributed to it. Nothing here is engineering, legal or construction advice.
What It Is Based On
Cost figures are not published, because no reliable local source has been established.
- USDA NRCS Soil Survey data (Soil Data Access), sampled around each city center, with the sample count shown on each city page
- US Census Bureau place coordinates and population estimates, and American Community Survey housing estimates (year built, owner occupancy)
- NOAA 1991–2020 climate normals from the nearest full weather station, named on each city page
- Cities' own published permit and building-department pages, linked with the date they were checked
- For unclaimed directory listings, the business's own website, linked with the date it was checked
- Public consumer-protection resources, such as the state engineering board and the Texas Attorney General
- General, widely published guidance on how foundation problems are diagnosed and repaired
How Pages Are Checked
Every update runs through automated checks: internal links resolve, each page has a correct canonical address, and city pages are compared so details about one community are not copied to another. These checks confirm the site is put together correctly; they do not verify that content is accurate. Local permit information and directory listings are checked by hand against the linked source on the date shown.
Corrections
If something here looks wrong, tell us with the request form on the For Contractors page (/for-contractors/#claim) (choose "Correct a detail" for a listing, or "Question about this site or privacy" for anything else). Soil values can be re-checked against the public USDA survey.
What We Do Not Do
We do not invent credentials, licenses, certifications, reviews or years of experience. We do not present this site as a licensed contractor. Any licensing or insurance claim that matters to your project belongs to the contractor doing the work; ask them to show it.
